Body
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has a need for the furnishing of park security at the Lake Jacomo South boat dock and the marinas at Longview and Blue Springs Lakes; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of a five month (5) term and supply contract for the furnishing of park security for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to Land & Air Security Specialists, Inc., of Liberty, MO, under the terms and conditions of Electronic Solicitation No. BB200514; and,
WHEREAS, a total of fifteen (15) solicitations were distributed and two (2) responses were received. The following two (2) bids were received:
BIDDERS PRICE
Land & Air Security Specialists, Inc. $14.00 per hour
Liberty, MO
Metropolitan Patrol, Inc., $16.85 per hour
Kansas City (Clay County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchase is subject to annual appropriations; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award be made as recommended and that the Director of Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
