Body
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division of the 16th Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri needs immediate and critical renovations for the Family Court Juvenile Detention building located at 625 E 26th Street in Kansas City, MO and at the Hilltop Residential Center at 301 NW Gregory Blvd, Lee’s Summit, MO in an amount not to exceed $198,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the renovations would include the replacement of hard surface bedding and mattresses, safe cell padding, security cameras with sound, ADA compliant drinking stations, tankless water heaters, correctional fasteners, and panic hardware; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the project funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2024 County Improvement Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Executive and other County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any documents necessary to give effect to the intent of this Ordinance.
