Body
WHEREAS, County employee Arnall Early of the Public Works Department has indicated, after a mediation process, that he would be willing to accept early retirement from his employment with the County, in exchange for payments totalling $70,419.00, which represents approximately one year's salary; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and the County Counselor recommend that Mr. Early's proposal be accepted and that the above-described payments be made in exchange for Mr. Early's early retirement from employment and the release of any claims he may have or have had against the County; and,
WHEREAS, the County Counselor recommends that this matter be approved as in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make payments totalling $70,419.00, according to the specific directions of the County Counselor, in exchange for Arnall Early's early retirement from County employment and release of all claims against the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Counselor and all other County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to give effect to this Resolution.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
