Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of a vendor for repair services for its International dump trucks; and,
WHEREAS, Rush Truck Centers of Kansas City, MO is the closest truck repair shop that is capable of repairing the specialized equipment on the International dump trucks; and,
WHEREAS, the dump trucks are needed for daily operation for the annual Road Program and during inclement weather; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract, with one twelve-month option to extend to Rush Truck Centers of Kansas City, MO, for the repair of International dump trucks for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Directors of Finance and Purchasing and Public Works recommend the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract with one twelve-month option to extend for the furnishing of dump truck repair to Rush Centers of Kansas City, MO, as a sole source purchase; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the contract be awarded as recommended by the Directors of Finance and Purchasing and Public Works and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
