WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has a continuing need for the furnishing of pesticides; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of twelve (12) month term and supply contracts to Vegetation Management Supply Inc., Kansas City, KS, Helena Chemical, Lenexa, KS, and Grass Pad, Inc.,Olathe, KS, as the best and lowest bidders by item; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. BB 200495 for the furnishing of pesticides for use by Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty-seven (37) Invitations to Bid were distributed and six (6) responses were received of which one (1) was determined to be non-responsive to the terms and conditions of the bid; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bid from the following;

;now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made to Vegetation Management Inc., of Kansas City, KS, Helena Chemical of Lenexa, KS, and Grass Pad, Inc., of Olathe, KS, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make payments to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
