Body
WHEREAS, the Environmental Health Administrator has recommended that the County’s schedule of sewer fees and charges for the residents of certain sewer districts be adjusted to cover increased costs of providing services and to impose fees for new improvements needed at sewer treatment plants; and,
WHEREAS, the current sewer rates in these districts have been in effect for at least twenty-four years and have fallen well behind the costs of providing these services; and,
WHEREAS, said adjustments, as reflected in the attached Schedule I, are in the best interests of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Enacting Clause. Schedule I, Chapter 31, Jackson County Code, 1984, is hereby repealed and one new schedule enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as Schedule I, to read as indicated on the attachment.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
