WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 16-97 for the furnishing of concessions drinks and juices for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that award of the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the respective vendors as follows:
VENDOR AWARD
Star Distributing $8,000.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Lady Baltimore $2,000.00
Kansas City, KS
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
