Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney recommends the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with Storytellers, Inc., of Kansas City, MO, to develop and implement training curriculum with emphasis on drug and violence prevention for the professional artists and young artists participating in the MyARTS and Youth Apprenticeship programs; and,
 
WHEREAS, this training program will provide 100 hours of training to professional artists/mentors to develop the necessary skills for successful interaction with teens at risk for drug usage; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with Storytellers, Inc., for the Prosecuting Attorney's MyARTS and Youth Apprenticeship programs, at an actual cost to the County not to exceed $9,990.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
