Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competiti e bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1063.00 of the Code requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on s ch sole source purchases exceeding $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a contract with Altai Software, Inc., of Arlington, TX for the leasing of computer software for use by the Management Information Systems Department; an ,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that he not take competitive bids with regard o said contract for the reason that Altai Software, Inc., of Arlington, TX is the only known suppl er of the specific computer software needed; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recomm nded by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County a contract with Altai Software, Inc., of Arlington, TX, for the leasing of omputer software for use by the Management Information Systems Department, in an amount not to exc ed $14,137.65; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payme ts, including final payment on the contract thereby made.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
