IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RE (Residential Estates), a certain 15 + acre tract. Intro ORDINANCE 2897, February 8, 1999 Body BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows: Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a 15 ñ acre tract of land generally located 3/10 of a mile north of Major Road, more specifically described as follows: DESCRIPTION: All that part of the East half of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 14, Township 48, Range 30, in Jackson County, Missouri more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Section 14; thence South 87 degrees 45 minutes 58 seconds East along the North line of the Northwest quarter of said Section 14 a distance of 653.04 feet to the Northwest corner of the East half of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 14, said point also being the Point of Beginning; thence continuing along the North line of the East half of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 14, a distance of 653.04 feet to the Northeast corner of the East half of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 14; thence South 01 degrees 59 minutes 11 seconds West along the East line of the East half of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of section 14 a distance of 976.37 feet to the North line of Petitt's Plains, a subdivision in Jackson County, Missouri; thence North 88 degrees 07 minutes 43 seconds West (Plat = South 89 degrees 54 minutes 00 seconds West) along the North line of said subdivision a distance of 653.02 feet (Plat = 654.35 feet) to the Northwest corner of said Petitt's Plains, thence North 01 degrees 59 minutes 08 seconds East along the West line of the East half of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 14 a distance of 980.50 feet to the Point of Beginning. Except that part in road. Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Duane Richard (RZ-99-140), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on January 21, 1999, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning...Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
