Body
WHEREAS, County Executive-elect Mike Sanders has identified Larry Blick, Fred Siems, and Anita Maltbia to serve as the transition team for his incoming administration; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Sanders recommends that these individuals, all experts in various aspects of local government operations, be compensated at the rate of $5,000.00 each for their service, to be paid in a lump sum; and,
WHEREAS, in order to make the required funds available, a transfer is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends such transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2006 General Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute Consulting Agreements with Larry Blick, Fred Siems, and Anita Maltbia, in the aggregate amount of $15,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreements.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
