WHEREAS, by Resolution 15436, dated March 28, 2005, the County Legislature did authorize the purchase of proprietary golf equipment for resale by the Parks and Recreation Department in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is in need of additional proprietary golf equipment for resale in an amount not to exceed $5,500.00 for a new total authorized cost of $30,500; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1040.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing requests authorization for the purchase of additional proprietary golf equipment for resale by the Parks and Recreation Department from Titleist & Foot Joy Worldwide of Fairhaven, MA, at a new total cost to the County not to exceed $30,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has determined that the items to be purchased are proprietary articles not available in a competitive market and are for resale in the golf pro shop at the Fred Arbanas Golf Course at Longview Lake; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to purchase golf equipment for resale by the Parks and Recreation Department from Titleist & Foot Joy Worldwide of Fairhaven, MA, at a new total cost to the County not to exceed $30,500.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

There is a balance otherwise unencumbered to the credit of the appropriation to which the expenditure is chargeable and there is a cash balance otherwise unencumbered in the treasury to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made each sufficient to provide for the obligation herein authorized. This is in addition to a previously authorized amount of $25,000.00 for a total of $30,500.00
