Body
WHEREAS, Ryan K. Niederschulte of Grain Valley, Missouri, has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and was recognized at the Eagle Court of Honor on June 16, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan began scouting in 2007 with Cub Scout Pack 306 and is currently a member of the Grain Valley Boy Scout Troop 310 where he has held the positions of Patrol Scribe, Troop Librarian, and Den Chief; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan has volunteered over 57 hours for Harvester's, the Community Blood Center, Scouting for Food, and Blue Springs Christian Church, where he packed backpacks with school lunches; and,
WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout project, Ryan planned and directed the construction of bluebird nesting boxes for placement at Blue Springs Lake; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan will be entering seventh grade this fall and enjoys taking piano lessons and playing the trumpet for the Grain Valley South Middle School band; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan has attended the Boy Scout summer camping program at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation for the last two years and was recognized by the Handicraft Lodge as the only scout his session to complete all six handicraft merit badges and was recognized as the Piercing Arrow Camper of the session by camp staff; and,
WHEREAS, since joining his troop, Ryan has earned the God and Church Religious Award, the BSA Kayaking Award, the World Conservation Award, the Recruiter Strip, and 90 merit badges; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan's proud parents, Larry and Nancy Niederschulte, join in his celebration of this honor; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Ryan K. Niederschulte upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and extends well-deserved recognition for his contributions to the Jackson County community.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
