BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows:
The 57.6ñ acre tract is generally located approximately 1/4 mile north of Colbern Road on the east side of Howard Road more specifically described as: All that part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 4, Range 31, in Jackson County, Missouri more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Center of said Section 25; thence North 02 degrees 05 minutes 35 seconds East along the West Line of said Northeast Quarter a distance of 680.36 feet; thence South 88 degrees 19 minutes 43 seconds East a distance of 40.00 feet to a point on the East Right-of-Way Line of Howard Road said point being on the North Line of LAWNWOOD - 5TH PLAT, a subdivision of land in said County and State said point also being the Point of Beginning; thence North 02 degrees 05 minutes 35 seconds East along said East Right-of-Way Line a distance of 1963.06 feet to a point on the North Line of said Northeast Quarter, thence South 88 degrees 11 minutes 50 seconds East along said North Line a distance of 1278.89 feet to the Northeast Corner of the West Half of said Northeast Quarter, thence South 01 degrees 59 minutes 35 seconds West along the East Line of said Half of said Quarter Section a distance of 1960.10 feet to the Northeast Corner of LAWNWOOD 2ND PLAT, a subdivision of land in said County and State; thence North 88 degrees 19 minutes 44 seconds West along the North Line of said LAWNWOOD - 2ND PLAT and also along the North Line of said LAWNWOOD - 5TH PLAT a distance of 1282.33 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Section 2. The preliminary plat "Lawnwood - 6th Plat," creating a nine-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.
Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of George T. Ward (RZ-96-045), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on March 20, 1997, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning...Attorney
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
