Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Ordinance 3001, dated March 6, 2000, enter into a contract with Meadows Construction Company of Tonganoxie, KS, in the amount of $2,051,883.32, for the Buckner-Tarsney Road Bridge Replacement and Sni-A-Bar Blvd. Detour; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed Change Order No. 1, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary as SWG Investments which, will be developing the adjacent property, desires to upsize some of the stormwater sewers, and has agreed to pay for the upsizing in the amount of $6,614.00, thereby increasing the contract in an amount not to exceed $6,614.00; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2000 Special Road and Bridge Fund be and here is made:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that Change Order No. 1 to the aforesaid contract is approved and the County Executive is authorized to execute the change order and any other documents necessary to this arrangement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, except final payment, on the contract.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
