A RESOLUTION authorizing the Prosecuting Attorney to execute addenda to agreements with certain organizations which engage in community crime prevention activities for the purpose of preventing illegal drug use and drug-related offenses, at a total cost to the County not to exceed $137,547.50.

Body
WHEREAS, the County did issue Request For Proposals 100-94, on June 16, 1994, inviting qualified organizations to submit proposals for the providing of prevention services, the specifications in said RFP being in accordance with the Special Advisory Panel recommendations relating to prevention funding of December 27, 1993; and,
WHEREAS, the County previously agreed to assist these organizations in the provision of services and recommended the expenditure of anti-drug sales tax funds for these organizations, by Resolutions 10485, 10716, 10718, 10719, 10739, and 10784, in the respective amounts referenced in those resolutions, to assist in the prevention of drug and drug-related offenses; and,
WHEREAS, the parties have subsequently determined that these organizations can provide County additional drug prevention services for the additional consideration as set forth in Schedule A attached hereto and incorporated hereby by reference; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Prosecuting Attorney be, and hereby is, authorized to execute addenda to agreements with the organizations and in the amounts set forth in Schedule A, for the purpose of preventing drug and drug-related offenses; said Addendums contracts to be in the general form as Exhibit B hereto; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payments on these addenda to agreements.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
