Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. PW-06-2001 for the construction of the R. F. Gammon Road Bridge, Project No. 2413; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon, bids from the following:

Tasco Construction Co. $174,463.00
Pleasant Hill, MO
Tricon Construction $184,753.00
Blue Springs, MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Radmacher Brothers Excavating of Pleasant Hill, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that a contract on Project No. 2413, in the actual amount of $169,623.50, be awarded to Radmacher Brothers Excavating of Pleasant Hill, MO, as the lowest and best bidder; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works be and hereby is authorized to adjust the contract line item quantities provided that, in doing so, there is no additional financial obligation to the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
