AN ORDINANCE transferring $100,000.00 within the 2002 Park Fund, appropriating $200,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2002 Grant Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with the National Parks Service to provide architectural services at the Fort Osage National Landmark Education Center.

Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County Parks and Recreation has been awarded a grant in the amount of $100,000.00 by the National Park Service for architectural services for the Fort Osage National Landmark Education Center; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is subject to a grant match in the amount of $100,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the National Park Service desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereunder the County will provide a grant match in the amount of $100,000.00 for architectural services for the Fort Osage National Landmark Education Center; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2002 Grant Fund and a transfer of matching within the 2002 Park Fund are necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation and transfer; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2002 Park Fund and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2002 Grant Fund be made:
