Body
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Lotawana, Missouri, has requested the use of $16,545.00 from its CURS refund account to cover costs of the City's 2004 street and road maintenance program; and,
WHEREAS, these funds will be used to upgrade the traffic island at the intersection of M-7 Highway and Milton Thompson Road; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature finds that the street and road maintenance project proposed by the City will benefit the citizens of Lake Lotawana and the citizens of Jackson County; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that, pursuant to Chapter 28, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to issue a check in the amount of $16,545.00 to the City of Lake Lotawana for use in the City's 2004 street and road maintenance program.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
