Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works department is in need of demolition and clearance services for use at a County owned property located at 21001 East US 24 Highway, Independence, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited proposals on Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 26-048 for a contract for demolition and clearance services of County owed property; and,
WHEREAS, a total of one-hundred seventy-nine (179) notifications were distributed, and three (3) responses were received and evaluated from the following:

and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and the Director of Public Works recommend the award for the furnishing of demolition and clearance services to Industrial Salvage and Wrecking of Kansas City, MO, under the terms and conditions of RFP No. 26-048, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best proposal; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Interim Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
