Body
WHEREAS, Clara Warnock is being honored by the American Sons of Columbus and the American Daughters of Columbus as the American Daughters Honoree on October 12, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, Clara has been a member of the American Sons and Daughters of Columbus for forty years, with twenty-six years of service on the board; and,
WHEREAS, Clara has been involved in the arts, as a member of the Kansas City Museum through the Musettes Travelers, and a part of Friends of Art with the Nelson Gallery; and,
WHEREAS, Clara has also been involved in Kansas City Radio and Television through the Radio and Television Council of Kansas City and the American Women of Radio and Television; and,
WHEREAS, Clara was a member of the bocce championship team in 2002, 2004 and 2005; and,
WHEREAS, Clara was married for fifty-six years to Don Warnock, and has four children, Don, Barbara, Julie and Sherri; and,
WHEREAS, Clara's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren celebrate with Clara as she is honored as the 2008 American Daughters Honoree; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby recognizes and honors Clara Warnock as the 2008 American Daughters Honoree.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
