Body

WHEREAS, the City of Independence is engaged in the development and construction of a sanitary sewer transmission system which will provide sanitary sewer services to the Meadowbrook Estates subdivision; and,

 

WHEREAS, the City of Independence has requested a permanent sewer easement across property located within the boundaries of the Little Blue Trace Park, as more fully described in the attached proposed easement; and,

 

WHEREAS, for this easement, the City has agreed to pay a fee at the standard rate as set by the Director of Parks and Recreation, amounting to $5,292.96; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Director has determined that the permanent easement for sanitary sewer services will have no adverse effect to the park property and recognizes the public necessity of the Meadowbrook Estates sanitary sewer transmission system; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached easement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the easement on behalf of the County.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
