Body
WHEREAS, the Facilities Management Division of the Public Works Department received a federal grant for Energy Efficiency and Conservation Initiative to purchase replacement windows for the Independence Courthouse Annex; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 28-10 for the furnishing of energy efficient commercial windows for use by the Facilities Management Division of the Public Works Department; and,
 
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-seven (27) notifications were distributed and three (3) responses  were received, as follows:

Caman Construction, Kansas City, (Jackson County), MO      $111,953.00
 
Southtown Glass, Kansas City, (Jackson County), MO      $114,848.00
 
Home Performance, Riverside, (Platte County), MO            $174,264.00
 
and,
 
 
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that award be made to Caman Construction, of Kansas City, MO, as the lowest and best bidder; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
