INTRODUCED BY Greg Grounds, County Legislator
Body
WHEREAS, longtime resident, Sheila Solon, has served the Blue Springs community in multiple capacities including the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning & Adjustment, Charter Review Committee, the City Area Plan Committee, the Capital Improvements Committee, the Citizens Advisory Committee on Tax Issues, Chairman of the Multi-family Task Force Committee, and Chairman of the Development Advisory Commission; and,
 
WHEREAS, Sheila has shown her commitment to the Blue Springs School District by serving on the PTA Boards of Cordill-Mason Elementary and Moreland Ridge Middle School, and by being an active participant in the Citizens Advisory Committee and the Superintendent's Round Table; and,
 
WHEREAS, Sheila is also a member of the Blue Springs South High School PTA, the Blue Springs South Booster Club, the Blue Springs South Football Boosters, the Citizens Advisory Committee Safety Sub-Committee, the Hospitality Committee of the First United Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women; and,
 
 
WHEREAS, Sheila is known for her preparedness, courage, common sense, and positive attitude; and,
      
WHEREAS, Sheila and husband Charlie have been married for 22 years and have two children; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby recognizes Sheila Solon for her devotion and service to the Blue Springs and Jackson County communities.
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
