IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
A RESOLUTION awarding a twelve-month term and supply contract on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200329 for the furnishing of larvicide for use by the Parks and Recreation and Public Works Departments to Clark Mosquito of Roselle, IL, in the estimated amount of $10,000.00.
RESOLUTION # 14577, April 28, 2003
INTRODUCED BY Fred Arbanas, County Legislator
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200329 for the furnishing of larvicide for use by the Parks and Recreation and Public Works Departments; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon bids from the following:
VENDOR GRAND TOTAL BID
Clark Mosquito $15,159.30
Roselle, IL
Blue Valley Lab $17,917.95
Kansas City, MO
and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be made to Clark Mosquito of Roselle, IL, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract thereby made, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
