Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to sections 205.968 through 205.973, RSMo 1994, as amended, and the vote of the qualified voters of November 2, 1976, there was established for the Jackson County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled (Sheltered Workshop) a tax levy at the annual rate of ten cents per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation on all taxable property in Jackson County, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, sections 137.073 and 137.115, RSMo 1994, and Missouri Constitution, article X, section 22, require tax levies to be revised as a result of general reassessment; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that, after calculation of the revisions mandated by statute and the Constitution, there is hereby levied for the 2000 tax year the rate of eight (8) cents per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation on all taxable property for the Jackson County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled (Sheltered Workshop).

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
