Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation recommends execution of a Park Management Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with the Downtown Community Improvement District (CID) whereunder the CID will continue to manage and operate the County's Oppenstein Brothers Memorial Park on behalf of the County, at no cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, services to be provided by the CID include day-to-day maintenance of the park and direction of safety operations; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of this Agreement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the County.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
