WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has solicited formal written bids under Bid No. 34-05 for upgrades to the electrical system at the Independence Courthouse Annex; and,
WHEREAS, he distributed 23 solicitations and has received six responses, the lowest three of which are as follows:

and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has recommended that the contract award be made to WITEC, LLC, of Lee's Summit, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid, in the actual amount of $64,459; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Facilities Management recommends that the County Executive be authorized to execute change orders to this contract in an amount not to exceed $12,891.00, for a total authorization not to exceed $77,350.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the award be made as recommended and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute change orders to the contract thereby made in an amount not to exceed $12,891.00, for a total authorization not to exceed $77,350.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
