AN ORDINANCE appropriating $77,340.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2025 Grant Fund, in acceptance of additional grant funds received by the Family Court Division from the State of Missouri Department of Social Services Division of Youth Services.

Body
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division has been awarded a grant by State of Missouri,
Department of Social Services, Division of Youth Services (DYS) for the period of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026; and,
WHEREAS, DYS has authorized an additional funds amendment under this grant in the amount of $77,340.00 for the Parenting with Love and Limits (PLL) Project; and,
WHEREAS, the PLL Project will combine parent education and group therapy programs with individual coaching sessions for adolescents and their parents; and,
WHEREAS, the grant amendment does not require local matching funds; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the additional grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the undesignated fund balance of the 2025 Grant Fund:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that all County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to give effect to said grant.
