Body
WHEREAS, the County has a continuing need for roof replacement and roof repair services; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature did, by Resolution 15133, dated August 16, 2004, award a term and supply contract for roof replacement and roofing repair services for use by various departments countywide to Great Plains Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc., of Kansas City, KS, under the term and conditions of Bid No. 27-04; and,
WHEREAS, the award contract contains an option for the County to extend the term and supply contract for an additional twelve (12) months under the same terms and conditions; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has recommended that the County exercise the options to extend the contract with Great Plains Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc., of Kansas City, KS; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the extension be recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the extension of the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
