WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids Electronic Solicitation No. BB200211 for the furnishing of one (1) pneumatic rubber tired compactor for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the four lowest bids thereon bids from the following;

and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to G. W. Van Keppel Co. of Kansas City, Kansas, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid meeting specifications as set forth in the attached recapitulation and analysis; and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this equipment has rendered an existing 1985 Hyster, Model# C530A, Serial Number A91C3623F and one (1) 1985 Hyster, Model# C530A, Serial Number A91C3614F, as surplus property; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to §1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this equipment by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing county equipment described above be and hereby is declared surplus and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of said equipment by way of trade-in.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
