AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from District A (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette), a certain 12 ± acre tract.

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:

Description:  A 12 ± acre tract of land generally located at the southeast corner of Oakland School Road and Missouri Highway FF (Truman Road) and specifically described as:

 

ALL THAT PART OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED TRACT LYING WITHIN THE EAST HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 49, RANGE 30 IN JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI; COMMENCING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION; THENCE SOUTHERLY ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION 25 FEET, TO THE SOUTH LINE OF A COUNTY ROAD AND THE  TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE CONTINUING SOUTHERLY, ALONG SAID EASTERLY LINE, 841 FEET; THENCE DEFLECTING TO THE RIGHT 89 DEGREES 26 MINUTES, 600 FEET TO A MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT RIGHT OF WAY MONUMENT OF THE EASTERLY RIGHT OF WAY OF MISSOURI STATE ROUTE FF; THENCE NORTHERLY, ALONG THE EASTERLY LINE OF SAID MISSOURI STATE ROUTE FF; 865.16 FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF A COUNTY ROAD, SAID POINT BEING 25 FEET SOUTH OF THE NORTH LINE OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION;  THENCE EASTERLY, ALONG THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF SAID ROAD, 675.5 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, INCLUDING ALL OF LOTS 1 & 2, EXCEPT ANY PART IN ROAD.

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Anthony Mormino (RZ-2003-311), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted unanimously to recommend this application in a public hearing on August 21, 2003, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
