Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends the purchase of the property located at 303 West Walnut in Independence, Missouri, from the Arthur N. Nystrom Trust/Patricia Nystrom Trust, for use as a Public Works Administration/Tech Center, at the actual cost to the County of $560,000; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund this purchase, an appropriation of a portion of the proceeds of the 2003 leasehold revenue bond issue authorized by Ordinance 3420, dated September 22, 2003, is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the funds appropriated by this Ordinance not needed for the purchase of the property will be used for its renovation and improvement; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2003 Public Building Corporation Capital Projects Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
