Body
WHEREAS, Jacob Newman is a 2003 graduate from Keytesville, Missouri, a 2008 graduate of the University of Central Missouri, and a 2012 graduate from William Woods University; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Newman met his wife at her alma mater in Wellsville, MO, in 2018 while employed by the district; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Newman and his wife have lived in the Oak Grove area since July 2017 and welcomed their first daughter to the world during the start of the COVID Pandemic on March 22, 2020; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Newman served as a health teacher and a coach for basketball, track, and cross-country from 2008 to 2012; and,
WHEREAS, from 2012 to 2017, he was a 7th through 12th grade principal, athletic director, and A+ coordinator; and,
WHEREAS, from 2017 to now, Mr. Newman has been a District Activities Director, and will now serve as principal for Oak Grove High School; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Jackson County Legislature congratulates Jacob Newman as the incoming principal of Oak Grove High School.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
