Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Youth Services, has awarded a grant to the Family Court Division of the Circuit Court for its School Based Prevention and Diversionary Program; and,
WHEREAS, the School Based Prevention and Diversionary Program is a strength-based, multi-faceted, community-based initiative that seeks the engagement of parents, circuit court judges, schools, family courts, and the community at-large in order to provide the best educational opportunities for at-risk students; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the funds in the proper spending accounts for use by the Family Court Division; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2007 Grant Fund:
