Body
WHEREAS, Women’s History Month recognizes the leadership, accomplishments, and impact of women who strengthen their communities; and,
WHEREAS, Vicki Wolgast Wolverton was a member of the South Kansas City Chamber of Commerce for more than 18 years; and,
WHEREAS, she has supported various business initiatives and community development; and,
WHEREAS, Vickie has worked with the district since 2018 and, as of 2024, is fully committed to serving as the District Manager of the Martin City Community Improvement District; and,
WHEREAS, many members of the community have said Vickie has had a profound impact on South Kansas City during her time as Chamber President; and,
WHEREAS, she has been instrumental in the district's development and is known for her strong connections within the community and business sector; and,
WHEREAS, under her leadership, the district has seen significant growth and revitalization efforts, including the completion of major projects like the 135th Street Improvement Project; and,
WHEREAS, Vickie serves on the Grandview Education Foundation board as the Executive Director, representing the school district, former teachers, the business community, and more to develop and support opportunities for students and teachers; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Jackson County Legislature congratulates Vickie Wolgast Wolverton on her many accomplishments during Women’s Month.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
