Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to an understanding reached by staff of the Public Works Department and the City of Grain Valley, if the County upgrades and improves a portion of Ryan Road, the City will annex said road and assume responsibility for all subsequent maintenance of said road; and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has completed the agreed upon improvements; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the annexation process, the City has requested the County to execute the attached Petition for Voluntary Annexation regarding a portion of Ryan Road, pursuant to 71.012, RSMo 1995; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Petition for Voluntary Annexation...Attorney
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon signature by the County Executive.
