Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 4-11 for the furnishing of asphaltic concrete, cold asphaltic concrete mix and patching materials, and rubberized sealant for use by the Public Works and Parks & Recreation Departments; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty (30) notifications were distributed and two (2) bids were received, as follows:

and,
WHEREAS, the notification resulted in no bids for the furnishing of asphaltic concrete; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest and best bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award for the furnishing of cold asphaltic concrete mix and patching materials to Carter Waters, LLC, of Kansas City, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Director further recommends the award for the furnishing of rubberized sealant to Paving Maintenance Supply, Inc., of Lee's Summit, MO; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
