WHEREAS, The Sheriff’s Office is requesting the purchase of one (1) CanAm Defender utility terrain vehicle and two (2) CanAm Outlander all-terrain vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, the vehicles are needed to access and patrol areas where larger patrol vehicles cannot access safely; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff and the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend the award of a contract for one (1) CanAm Defender utility terrain vehicle and two (2) CanAm Outlander all-terrain vehicles for use by the Sheriff’s Office from S&H Farm Supply, Inc., of Branson, MO, under the terms and conditions of State of Missouri Contract No. MC260143006, an existing competitively bid government contract, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $48,053.00; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.4, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Sheriff and the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend the awards under the existing competitively bid government contracts that will allow the County to take advantage of significant discounts offered to larger entities; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that awards be made under the existing competitively bid government contracts as recommended by the Sheriff and Interim Director Finance and Purchasing and that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
