WHEREAS, the Sheriff has requested that he be authorized to obtain the consulting services of Don Downs, Harold (Skip) Alwes, and Michael Fowler to perform location and investigation services regarding non-compliance with the Sexual Offender Registration Act (SORA), at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $62,500.04 in 2006; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund these services, a transfer is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive has recommended said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute Consulting Agreements with Don Downs, Harold (Skip) Alwes, and Michael Fowler, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
