A RESOLUTION congratulating Lee's Summit North High School sophomore Haley Hynes on her outstanding performance at the Missouri State Girls' Swimming Championship.

Body
WHEREAS, Lee's Summit North High School sophomore Haley Hynes won the Missouri State Swimming Championship in the 100-yard backstroke and placed second in the 200-yard individual medley; and,
 
WHEREAS, Haley posted a winning time in the 100-yard backstroke of 54.37 at the Missouri State Swimming and Diving Championships held February 21 - 22, 2014, in St. Peters, MO; and,
 
WHEREAS, Haley's winning time is closing in on her goal of breaking the state record for the 100-yard backstroke of 54.09; and,  
 
WHEREAS, this is Haley's second championship win for the medal in the 100-yard backstroke, having won the event last year with a time of 55.11; and,
 
WHEREAS, Haley also placed second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:05.18 for a silver medal; and,
 
WHEREAS, Haley is coached by Lee's Summit North head coach Danielle Russell; and,
 
WHEREAS, Haley's parents, Lisa and Paul Hynes, are justifiably proud of Haley's accomplishments; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates      Haley Hynes of Lee's Summit North High School on her outstanding performance at the Missouri State Swimming and Diving Championships and extends its best wishes for all of her future endeavors.
            
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
