BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:
The 15.8ñ acre tract of land is generally located on the north side of Rogers Road at the intersection of Douglas Road and described as follows: All that part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 50, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri being more particularly described as follow: Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 8; thence along the West line of said Quarter Section, North 04 degrees, 30 minutes, 51 seconds East 601.74 feet to the Southwest corner of Tract "A" of Document No. I-179 recorded January 2, 1997; thence along the South line of said Tract "A" and its Easterly projection thereof, South 89 degrees, 10 minutes, 04 seconds East (Doc. = North 89 degrees, 10 minutes, 04 seconds West), 1128.10 feet to a point 60 feet West of, as measured at right angles to the Northerly projection of the West line of a tract of land described by Document No. I-1080606 in Book-I-2169 at Page 2331, recorded January 2, 1992; thence along a line 60 feet West of, as measured at right angles to the West line of said tract of land, and its Northerly projection thereof, South 02 degrees, 54 minutes, 28 seconds, West (Doc. = North 00 degrees, 42 minutes, 30 seconds East), 578.56 feet to a point on the South line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 8; thence along the South line of said Northwest Quarter, North 88 degrees, 47 minutes, 02 seconds West, 1144.72 feet to the point of beginning.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Ernest Woods (RZ-97-054), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on February 20, 1997, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning...Attorney
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
