Body
WHEREAS, on June 29, 2000, the Raytown C-2 School District received the State Board of Education's top accreditation rating; and,
WHEREAS, the Raytown District has become the first Kansas City suburban district to attain the "Accredited with Distinction for High Achievement in Performance" rating; and,
WHEREAS, the District was able to meet the requirements necessary for this distinction in all five areas of resource standards, all ten areas of process standards, and all eleven of the performance indicators, showing exceptional achievement in all areas; and,
WHEREAS, on a five-year average, the District was found to have students who scored at or above the national ACT average, juniors and seniors were enrolled in advanced courses, a high graduation rate among vocational students, and high attendance; and,
WHEREAS, Raytown, with 8,200 students, is the largest district in Missouri to earn this prestigious honor; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates the Raytown C-2 School District upon receiving the Missouri State Board of Education's "Accredited with Distinction for High Achievement in Performance" rating.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
