BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

The 11 ± acres are approximately 1/4 of a mile east of Elsea Smith Road on the south side of Blue Mills Road and is legally described as:
All that part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 7, Township 50 North, Range 30 West, located in Jackson County, Missouri being described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Northeast Quarter; Thence N87̊26'46"W along the North line of said Northeast Quarter, a distance of 672.18'; Thence S2̊33'14"W, a distance of 692.19 feet to the Point of Beginning and the centerline of Blue Mills Road (as now established), recorded in Book B-558, Page 465 in the office of Recorder of Deeds, in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri. Thence S45̊44'50"W along said centerline, a distance of 371.70 feet on a curve to the right having a radius of 1432.42 feet and tangent to the last described course; Thence along said curve to the right an arc distance of 131.62 feet; Thence S4̊34'50"W, a distance of 686.12 feet; Thence N45̊44'50"E, a distance of 804.23 feet; Thence S44̊15'10"E, a distance of 6.50 feet; Thence N45̊44'40"E, a distance of 681.27 feet to a point on the South line of Lot 1 OSAGE HILLS, a subdivision in Jackson County, Missouri; Thence N85̊17'31"W along said South line, a distance of 646.99 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Allen Owings (RZ-2004-354), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on October 21, 2004, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
