A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement for a permanent drainage easement and temporary construction easement with the City of Independence, MO in conjunction with replacement of the Bundschu Road Bridge and to authorize payment of $16,000.00 to the City to fund the County's portion of the cost of running the Little Blue Trace Trail under the new bridge.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of Independence, MO has a need for a permanent easement in conjunction with replacement of the Bundschu Road Bridge; and,
WHEREAS, the City has offered to pay the cost for design engineering and a majority of the estimated $36,000.00 construction cost; and,
WHEREAS, the County has offered to contribute a portion of the construction cost in an amount not to exceed $16,000.00 to fund the County's portion of the cost of running the Little Blue Trace Trail under the new bridge; and,
WHEREAS, this project will serve to benefit the City and the County and is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached easement and other associated documents in favor of the City of Independence, MO.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
