Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has need for the installation of a WWII Veterans Memorial that will be located at the Downtown Oppenstein Brothers Memorial Park; and,
WHEREAS, the new structure will be installed at the proposed location of Oppenstein Brothers Memorial Park by Frisbie Monuments of Independence, MO; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of contract for installation services to Frisbie Monuments of Independence, MO as a sole source purchase for the reason that it is the proprietary manufacturer of the needed structure/monument; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation and transfer of funds within the 2026 Park Fund is required to place the necessary funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and an appropriation be and hereby are made:
