Body
WHEREAS, Allison Cooper, a student at Chapel Lakes Elementary School in the Blue Springs School District, recently was awarded first place in the PTA Reflections contest, Visual Arts category, for her painting titled, "My Night Sky"; and,
 
WHEREAS, the PTA Reflections competition recognizes Missouri students across four grade divisions, primary, intermediate, middle/junior, and senior, in six arts categories, dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts; and,
 
WHEREAS, Allison entered the contest as a second grader at Chapel Lakes, with her art creation based on the theme, "Magic of a Moment"; and,
 
WHEREAS, Allison enjoys competitive dance, is an active member of Woods Chapel Church, and is a Brownie in Girl Scout Troop No. 1901; and,
 
WHEREAS, Allison's parents Bart and Laurie Cooper, and brother and sister, Justin and Ashley, are justifiably proud of their daughter and sister; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Allison Cooper for winning first place in the PTA Reflections contest, and extends best wishes to her in all of her future endeavors.
