WHEREAS, there is a continuing need by various County departments for the furnishing of paint and painting supplies; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. BB 2004754 for the furnishing of paint and painting supplies for various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-nine (29) Invitations to Bid were distributed and three (3) responses were received of which one (1) was determined to be non-responsive to the terms and conditions of the bid; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon bid by item from the following:

WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of twelve (12) month term and supply contracts to Kwal Paint, Grandview, MO, and Sherwin Williams Co, Kansas City, MO as the best and lowest bidders by item; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made to Kwal Paint of Grandview, MO and Sherwin Williams Co., of Kansas City, MO, for the furnishing of paint and painting supplies for a term of twelve (12) months, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make payments to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
