WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of a vehicle for departmental use; and,
WHEREAS, Director of Purchasing recommends the purchase of one (1) 2005 Ford Escape for use by the Public Works Department City, MO, under the terms and conditions set forth by Mid-America Council of Public Purchasing by the City of Overland Park, KS, at a cost to the County not to exceed $19,432.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the purchase of one (1) 2005 Ford Escape be made from Shawnee Mission Ford of Shawnee, KS under the Cooperative Agreement and that the Director of Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the purchase at a cost to the County not to exceed $19,432.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract thereby made, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
