A RESOLUTION congratulating the 5th grade basketball team from St. Peter's grade school.

Body
WHEREAS, the 5th grade St. Peter's team consisted of:
Eva Schaible
Hillary Buren
Maggie Euston
Daphne Hiatt
Julia Thorpe
Abby Edsall
Katherine Schilling
and,
WHEREAS, the team played in the preseason Mike Lillis tournament and won second place; and,
WHEREAS, the team played in the preseason St. Thomas More tournament and won first place; and,
WHEREAS, the team was undefeated in their 5th grade division for the entire season and were awarded a Division champion trophy; and,
WHEREAS, the team came in second place in their division in the City tournament in a very exciting game that was lost in overtime; and,
WHEREAS, this team had a mantra of "We love basketball" and it showed all season; and,
WHEREAS, the team's success is attributable to the fact that they all played great basketball as a TEAM; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that we congratulate the 5th Grade Team of Schaible, Buren, Euston, Hiatt, Thorpe, Edsall, and Schilling for an outstanding season.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
